Growing up in a Chinese family, English was not always a priority.
However, my parents knew the importance of being bilingual, so they made sure we had ample opportunities to learn.
We would watch English-language cartoons and movies together, practice speaking with each other and our friends, and even enroll in summer language classes.
Thanks to their encouragement and support, English is now a valuable asset in all aspects of my life, from academia to travel and beyond.
