The first mobile phone that I had was when I was at secondary school. I was probably about 13 or14 years old when I bought my first mobile phone. I remember that a lot of my friends started to buy phones.
And I really wanted to have a phone. I had to persuade my parents for a long time, because when I was younger, they did not want me to have a mobile phone at all. They kept asking me why I wanted to have a phone, who was I going to call on it and what was I going to do with it.
But eventually so many people had phones and they wanted to be able to contact me as well. So they gave in and I was able to buy a phone. This phone was a Nokia 3310. It had a black and white screen and a number of very loud ring tones.
It also had a vibrate function which was very useful. It made my life very convenient because I was able to keep in constant contact with my friends and my parents and even play the odd game of snake when I had some free time so it's good to have a phone when you're out and about.
